“We must plant the sea and herd its animals using the sea as farmers instead of hunters. That is what civilization is all about - farming replacing hunting.”

Unknown wreck - Ullswater

I was using my side scan sonar unit on Ullswater with Geoff Woodhead at the helm of my boat and we got a contact.  I thought it was slightly strange as I had scanned this area nearly a year previously but there it was.  I wasn't sure what it was but it was something that required our attention so we dropped a shot line.  I kitted up and jumped in and at the bottom of the shot line I found an untouched wreck about 30 to 40 feet long which was a very nice surprise.  I know it's untouched as all the port holes and fittings are still on the wreck.  Click on the thumbnails for a larger view.  I have now given the information to the Nautical Archaeology Society and hopefully they plan to do something with it.

Here is some of the video that I took on the wreck
